Why did he have to go all the way down the basement to find his mother, he could of killed in the first place? By thinking about all the things I mentioned above, it seems there is some sort of inner demons involved, but I still can't figure out why after he has defeated all of the demons which are the monsters, why he still has to fight his mother? Even if she wanted to kill him because of the sin, why does she appear in the basement and Isaac has to defeat her in order to beat the game? It doesn't make sense. The fact that there are nooses and plenty of corpse looking creatures that don't do anything sort of makes me feel think the same way. My theory is, that he became stronger after defeating all the inner demons along the way and he became strong enough, to go back and stand up against his mother. That's something I am thinking about as well. I don't think that the game's story is supposed to be super deep or anything, it's just a fun game with a very ambiguous story tied to it.
